The New Zealand Institute

Not to be confused with the Royal Society of New Zealand, known as the New Zealand Institute until 1933.

The New Zealand Institute is a privately funded think tank based in Auckland, New Zealand.

It was set up in July 2004 and is "committed to generating ideas, solutions and debate that will improve economic prosperity, social well-being, environmental quality and environmental productivity". As of 2009 the director is Rick Boven.
